HIPAA & Health Information Notice
Effective September 13, 2026
Brunch Health, LLC is a technology and administrative platform. Brunch is not the medical practice providing your clinical care.
Independent medical provider
Clinical services accessed through Brunch are provided independently by Lone Star Virtual Health, PLLC and its licensed healthcare professionals. Lone Star controls medical evaluation, diagnosis, treatment recommendations, prescribing, dose changes, and decisions to continue or discontinue treatment.
HIPAA and clinical records
Lone Star and participating dispensing pharmacies may be covered entities under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act and maintain their own privacy obligations and notices. Lone Star's Notice of Privacy Practices governs health information maintained as part of its clinical relationship with you.
Brunch may create, receive, maintain, or transmit protected health information on behalf of a covered entity when acting as a business associate under an applicable agreement or as otherwise permitted by law. Brunch uses such information for authorized functions such as platform operations, care coordination, patient support, pharmacy and fulfillment coordination, billing administration, quality assurance, security, and technical operations.
Medical records requests
Requests for records maintained by Lone Star as part of the medical record should be handled through the applicable Lone Star or Bask medical-record process. Brunch support can help route a request but does not independently alter the medical record.
Brunch information outside HIPAA
Some information Brunch handles may not be protected by HIPAA. Such information remains subject to the Brunch Privacy Policy and, where applicable, state consumer health data and general privacy laws.
